2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games
Set to be the sporting event of the year in Queensland, the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games returns with over 70 nations competing in 275 events and more than 6,000 of the best athletes. It’s one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, which will see the athletes go head-to-head in triathlon, weightlifting, boxing, aquatics, athletics, tennis, cycling, and more. The events will take place over a total of 12 days in and around the Gold Coast’s famous Metricon Stadium. Don’t miss one of the biggest sporting events of 2018 this April 4 to April 15 on the Gold Coast.
Festival 2018
Coinciding with the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games is Festival 2018 Gold Coast, an exciting celebration of arts and culture, expanding the events of the Commonwealth Games out of the Metricon Stadium and on to the beaches and venues of the Gold Coast. A huge program is in store, featuring some of the biggest names in music performing at Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise. The entertainment - which is set to take place up and down the Gold Coast - is completely free, and will bring an exciting atmosphere along with it. Live music, theatre, circus, ballet, dance, and visual arts are all on the Festival 2018 program, so don’t miss out.
