Commemorate ANZAC Day in Currumbin Gold Coast

As we all know, ANZAC Day 2020 will be a special one in light of the outbreak that has changed routines and circumstances for all of us in many different ways. Seeing as it will be a unique national commemoration this year, we’re inviting you to join us on the coast for a special weekend of remembrance as we stand on our balconies and see in the dawn in beautiful Currumbin Gold Coast.

On Saturday April 25, ABC will host ANZAC Day Live Coverage from 5am, involving the National Memorial Service at the Australian War Memorial, along with the history of ANZAC Day, personal stories from servicemen and servicewomen, odes, a minute’s silence and an evening message from the Governor-General. You can observe this on TV, on the internet or over the radio with the program to involve:

• 5.00am - ANZAC Stories
• 5.30am - National Memorial Service at the Australian War Memorial
• 11.30am - The Ode, The Last Post and minute silence
• 6.55pm - Governor-General David Hurley’s message

Additionally, RSL QLD will host their Light Up the Dawn ANZAC Day Service via online audio stream from 6am, and this will include The Ode, The Last Post and national songs performed by Australian Army Band Brisbane. This program will include:

• Acknowledge of Country The Ode by RSL Queensland President Tony Ferris
• The Last Post by Australian Army Band Brisbane
• Minute’s silence
• Reveille by Australian Army Band Brisbane
• Advance Australia Fair by Australian Army Band Brisbane
• God Defend New Zealand by Australian Army Band Brisbane

We’re fortunate enough to enjoy a tranquil lakeside location on the Gold Coast that’s just a short walk from Currumbin Beach. We offer fully self-contained 2 and 3 bedroom apartments for essential short and long-term stays, and are currently providing flexible booking terms and increased hygiene measures for regional travellers looking to commemorate this year's ANZAC Day on the coast for the eastern sunrise.

Our Essential Currumbin Beach accommodation features comfortably furnished living and dining areas, air conditioning and ceiling fans, cable-ready flatscreen TVs, free WiFi, large Queen/single beds and inviting private balconies with outdoor furniture.

Secure undercover parking is also available for peace of mind as you come and go, or you can leave the car onsite and head to Currumbin Beach within a few minutes’ walk.

Despite the recent changes, we remain open to essential travellers and workers and are doing our utmost in providing proper hygiene and sanitation, booking flexibility and administering extra assistance for all guests. Do note, however, that we have new office hours for the foreseeable future that are 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday our office is closed but you can still contact us over the phone with any enquiry.
